Venice City Council

Nick was elected to the Venice City Council in 2019. Shortly after taking office, Nick was activated as a Team Commander under the Florida Division of Emergency Management and Florida Department of Health in response to COVID-19. Nick spent 363 days in the field serving on the front lines of the fight against COVID, developing and establishing testing and vaccination protocols for Florida’s nursing homes and communities.

Nick Puts Venice First

As a Councilman, Nick has embraced policies that support law enforcement and first responders, keep taxes low, grow the local economy and protect the unique charm that makes Venice so special. As Mayor, Nick will focus on keeping taxes low and implementing fiscally responsible budgets. Nick will work to ensure a high quality of life for all Venetians. Whether “on the island”, in central Venice or on the East-Northeast side of town, Nick will always put Venice first.

Nick and his wife Kate live in Central Venice. Their two daughters graduated from local schools and attended college locally before moving away to pursue advanced degrees in healthcare. In addition to his service as a first responder and on the Venice City Council, Nick is co-owner of the Venice Pier Group, which includes Sharky’s on the Pier, Fins at Sharky’s, Snook Haven, and Siesta Beach Eats on Siesta Key.
